Production Chemistry Training Ltd. (PCT) would like to invite you and your colleagues to the inaugrual workshop on Produced Water Management to be held on Wednesday 11th September 2024 at Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeen.

The complexity surrounding management of produced water is escalating as oil and gas fields mature. Exploration of novel approaches for more efficient and economical produced water management solutions is essential as operators look to optimise production and implement cost-effective strategies whilst reducing the environmental impact of their operations.

Training and consultancy PCT believe the PWM2024 Workshop will offer a vital forum for exchanging insights, deliberating on the adoption of established technologies, and identifying innovative technologies, chemistries, and methodologies. PWM2024 aims to engage and inform industry by providing a forum for operators, contractors, academics and industry regulatory organisations to explore technical challenges and opportunities faced when dealing with produced water.

In addition to holding this new workshop, PCT will hold “Engineering Chemistry for the Energy Transition”ECET2024 Symposium and Exhibition for the second year running on Tuesday 10th September 2024, again at Ardoe House Hotel.

EVENT THEMES

CCUS – Carbon capture technology, CO2 transport and injection, CO2 storage (underground and other methods like cement) and CO2 utilisation in EOR or other chemical synthesis and applications

Geothermal – Overlap of engineering and chemistry, converting oil and gas wells to geothermal, production chemistry issues including scale, corrosion, water treatment and non-chemical treatment methods

Hydrogen – Hydrogen production, transport, storage

Reducing emissions and CO2 footprint – Sustainable chemistry, chemical EOR, greenhouse gas detection, optimising chemical treatments through digitalisation

Inspiration for this event was borne from a short course Stephen Heath (Technical Director PCT) organised for the recent Oil Field Chemistry Symposium 2023 held in Geilo, Norway by Tekna. Focussing on The Role of Production Chemistry in the Energy Transition, presentations were delivered relating to chemical challenges and the role chemistry plays in the journey towards the Transition to NET ZERO.

Why Attend?

    • Gain access to the latest research, technologies, and innovations in chemistry tailored specifically for the energy transition.

    • Explore strategies, technologies, and solutions for achieving sustainability goals in the energy sector, with a focus on reducing carbon intensity and environmental impact.

    • Interact with industry leaders and subject matter experts and identify potential partners for collaborative projects, research initiatives, and business ventures.

    • Explore a diverse range of products, services, and solutions offered by exhibitors that can help address challenges and drive innovation.

    • Attend presentations and panel discussions to learn from experts about best practices, case studies, and success stories.

    • Gain insights into the regulatory landscape and policy frameworks.

    • Stay updated on the latest market trends, opportunities, and challenges.

    • Enhance your knowledge, skills, and expertise.

    • Discover groundbreaking research, technologies, and projects that are driving advancements in energy production, storage, and utilisation.

We look forward to welcoming you there!

The event is not to be missed and will bring people together from across the industry to share experiences, highlight examples of best practice and explore new, innovative chemistries that are helping drive the energy transition.

On the day, we will feature technical presentations from a fantastic range of speakers to inspire delegates and generate new ideas on how the industry – and specifically production chemistry – can contribute towards achieving net zero.
